🌟 Editor's Note

Hey builders! 👋

It’s been a short this week with school holidays, so this week and next week will be a little different.

I’m excited to share our first guest builder post by Tabish Bidiwale.

What’s new?

🚨3 things caught my attention last week in AI.🚨

1) Ravi Mehta's masterclass in data-driven prototyping on Claire Vo's How I AI. A must watch 👉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yQMGHHl49g

2) OpenAI's Sora 2 (https://openai.com/index/sora-2/) - next level AI video generation is cool, but the desire for Sora to become a new social network has broad ramifications. It's a pity it's not out in Aus yet to experiment with.

3) Anthropic are experimenting with Claude Imagine (https://claude.ai/imagine/). The new fastest way to prototype and 'imagine'. It feels different to Lovable, Bolt, V0, Alloy and existing prototyping tools. I can see a future where you can 'one click' from Imagine to pull your prototype and the corresponding code into Claude or Claude Code.

Note: 1 & 3 serve different purposes. Claude Imagine is for rapidly testing early variations to see what is possible. Data-driven prototyping is for production-like prototypes and can also be used for existing products.

Claude Imagine Example

Here’s what I produced with Claude Imagine off this single prompt:

"Create a pet crm so that I can manage my pet bookings. Services include pet walking, doggy day care, overnight care etc. I need to track both the owner and pet details, along with specific care instructions (medication, food needs, routines, likes/dislikes etc). It should also track bookings (upcoming, active, past) as well as hold media, and send notifications (reminders, job start/end etc)."
